Biddeford students took a field trip to the Seashore Trolley Museum where they learned about the history of trolleys in Maine and the across the U.S. They have also been learning about roads, maps, and transportation modes in an extensive Civil Engineering unit. Youth Full Maine recently visited and set up a table full of veggies from local farms. Students got to “shop” for food that they brought home for their families.
Portland students have been combining academics and fun this summer. They have enjoyed a variety of hands-on academic STEAM and crafting activities. They cooled off at a recent Water Works Day, partnering up for games and the popular dunk tank. Some teachers volunteered to be dunked- a big hit with students!
Saco students are enjoying a broad and engaging summer program that is primarily focused on the ocean. Students are participating in a variety of activities, ranging from STEAM and art, to nutrition and social emotional learning.
From building models of animal homes to exploring the science of adaptations, Waterboro learners have been actively engaged in discovering the natural world. At a recent field trip to the Maine Wildlife Park, students got to see Maine’s native animals up close, connecting what they have learned in the classroom with real-life observations.
