Jamie Crowell

LWAS Site Director, Saco

Experience: LearningWorks Afterschool Saco Site Director Jamie Crowell (she/her) joined the team in the fall of 2022. She began as a site Coordinator and quickly transitioned to Site Director in December of 2022. In her role at LW, Jamie oversees all aspects of the afterschool program in Saco at Fairfield Elementary. Jamie was born in Long Island, NY but has been a ‘Mainer’ since she was four years old. Jamie has spent all of her adult life working in leadership positions and has had a passion for building relationships and helping people for as long as she can remember. She has been a counselor, art teacher, music teacher, special education technician, pastor, preacher, and advocate. Her 13 years as a summer camp staff member allowed her to build a multitude of skills that helped her become who she is today. Her passion for people has led her to the beautiful life she has now and she couldn’t be more excited to embark on this new journey with LearningWorks. Jamie graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, MA. She continued her education in Suffern, NY where she earned an Associate’s Degree in Applied Sciences and became an ordained Minister. Even now, she continues her quest for knowledge through Asbury Theological Seminary where she will soon complete her Master’s Degree in Counseling. Jamie is passionate about a lot of things, but being silly and making life fun is near the top of the list. She loves to make people laugh and this is evident at the Saco site. Jamie is also passionate about music and the arts and can’t wait to brighten up LW with some color and sound!
