Minimum-Time Membership Application
Application for Aim High Minimum-Time AmeriCorps Member
This application is for a 300-hour Minimum-Time AmeriCorps position. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis or until all positions are filled.
The average hours per week required to complete 300 hours of service varies depending on when members begin their service. For example: a Minimum-Time member who serves September through the following August will average 7 hours per week; a Minimum-Time member who serves February through August will average 15 hours per week; a Minimum-Time member who serves only June through August will average 40 hours per week.

Applicants must be 17 or older, be eligible to work in the United States, have US citizenship or lawful permanent residency, and have a high school diploma or equivalent. (High school diploma not required if currently enrolled in high school and expecting to graduate within a year of completing service.)
Service is contingent upon an interview, selection process, and criminal background check.

Minimum-Time members serve 300 hours over the course of their service term. Members who start their service in February must serve 15 hours per week; those who start in August must serve 7 hours per week; those who serve for the summer only must complete 40 hours per week. Aim High's program year runs from August 21, 2019, to August 7, 2020. Some members join us mid-program year. When are you available to start AmeriCorps service?
Aim High programming typically occurs M-F between 7:30am-5:00pm. Please give a brief overview of your schedule availability during the service period, including planned or potential time commitments (e.g., college coursework, other jobs).

Why do you want to serve students and schools as an AmeriCorps member with Aim High? (100-150 words)
Aim High's Minimum-Time AmeriCorps members support schools by tutoring students in math, literacy, and other subjects. Service with students can be one-on-one, in small groups, through classroom support with a teacher, or during after school activities.
